What we believe @
Citrus Community Church
We believe there is one God who created everything and rules over all.He has always existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three in one, perfectly united.
Genesis 1:1, 26–27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus is the Son of God and fully God. He lived a perfect life, died on the cross as the payment for our sins, and rose again three days later. His resurrection proves His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return one day as King.
Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1–5; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11
The Holy Spirit lives inside every believer from the moment of salvation. He convicts us, teaches us, guides us, empowers us, and equips us with spiritual gifts to build God’s Kingdom. We seek to live daily under His leadership.
Acts 1:8; John 14:16-17; Galatians 5:25; 1 Corinthians 2:12; Ephesians 1:13
The Bible is God’s Word, written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It’s our final authority for faith and life—completely true, trustworthy, and without error.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 30:5.
People are created in the image of God with incredible value and purpose. But all of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s design. Sin separates us from Him and damages every part of life.Only Jesus can restore us back to God.
Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2; Psalm 139:13-16
Every person will live forever—either with God through forgiveness in Jesus or separated from God because of sin.Heaven and hell are real, eternal destinations.
John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:31-34, 41
Every person will live forever—either with God through forgiveness in Jesus or separated from God because of sin.Heaven and hell are real, eternal destinations.Scripture: John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:31-34, 41
We believe God created sexuality as a good gift meant to be expressed within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. This design is rooted in Scripture and reflects Christ’s relationship with the Church.
Because we hold to a literal, biblical understanding, we affirm:
This position is held with truth and grace, conviction and compassion.
We cannot save ourselves. Salvation is a free gift from God through Jesus—received by grace, through faith, not by our good works. When we surrender to Jesus as Lord and Savior, He forgives us, makes us new, and brings us into God’s family.
Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; Titus 3:4-7
