Volunteering in kids ministry means partnering with families to invest in the spiritual, emotional, and social foundations of the next generation. It is less about being a perfect Bible scholar and more about being a consistent, caring presence who models the love of Jesus to children.
You can serve with children ages 0-2, 3 years to Kindergarten, or 1st to 7th grade. Older kids are across the street in the NexGen building, while the younger ones are in the back of the sanctuary. There are also registration positions that need volunteers. These roles involve working closely with children and families, maintaining safety, proper checks for entry and exit (using the child/parent tags), and games.
If you are ready to provide an engaging experience for our youth and help get them excited about Jesus, this is the place for you! You can reach out to the kids ministry leader, Jordin Hardcastle, for more information, or sign-up today.
Student ministry is focused on raising up the next generation of church leaders. Reaching teens is a crucile part of any church. They need guidance at a critical time in their lives, and being in this ministry puts you in the position to do just that.
Every Wednesday evening, they meet in our NexGen building. Here, you'll have the opportunity to play games, worship, and build bonds with our teens. As a volunteer in students you are responsible for helping to maintain order, run small groups, as well as, help with set-up and tear down of activities.
If serving our next generation, and helping guide them toward Jesus sounds like a good fit for you, please sign-up. If you have additionl questions about this area, please reach out to our Student Ministry director, "JD" David.
The hospitality and welcome team are crucial to our church. This team is what makes for a warm and inviting experience to our guests. Your goal is to make sure everyone feels noticed, valued, and right at home the minute they arrive.
There are several roles within this team that you may choose to serve in. You may serve coffee and snacks, be a door greeter, run our first time guest services area, or help at the connect desk. At our first time guest area, you will help guests feel welcome, hand out first time guest gifts, and invite them to fill out connect cards. The connect desk is a place for registrations, questions, or help with our church center app.
If you are reay to share a friendly face and bring joy to all who enter, then please join our team! If you have any questions, please reach out to our hospitality and welcome team leader, Amanda Truax, or visit the connect desk.
Interested in the behind the scenes work? With this team, you get to work closely with all the tech related to our live streams and worship services. Positions include handling the slides, running the sound board and stage lights, and operating our livestream cameras.
The team is excited to meet you and show you the ropes. So, whether you are a pro or just want to learn, there's a place for you.
Or, do you have a musical gift? We can use it! The worship team works to create an atmosphere where people can connect deeply with God. Using your musicial gifts here allows our church community to be lead into authentic times of praise and reflection.
There is an audition process you must go through after submitting your registration. Please be aware that the team meets on Wednesday evenings for practice, and must arrive early on Sunday mornings for rehearsals. If this sounds like the place for you, then please sign-up and our leader will reach out to get you in for an audition.
If you have any other questions about production or worship, please feel free to contact our worship director, Ken James.
The Cleaning and Yard Crew serves God by maintaining a beautiful, welcoming, and safe environment for worshipers and visitors. This ministry directly supports the church's mission by caring for the physical blessings of the building and grounds. As a team member, you are responsible for the cleanliness of the church and/or it's grounds. This team helps create a positive, distraction-free first impression for guests. It honors God by preserving and respecting church property. It also builds community among team members through shared physical service.
